What is Women Build?
The Habitat Horry Women Build program recruits, educates, and encourages women to build and advocate for decent and affordable houses in our community!
Join hands with hundreds of women across the Grand Strand to fully fund, fully build a home for a local woman and her children!
How does it work?
Women volunteers from all walks of life work together to raise the funds and raise the walls for the entire Women Build project. This year, through peer-to-peer fundraising, we will work together to raise $100,000. We will also recruit and encourage all of our female volunteers to get out on the build site and put some female power into this home!
Timeframe of the Women Build Project:
We will break ground on the 2021-22 Habitat Horry Women Build home on August 31st, 2021. We hope to have the home completed on March 8th, 2022 just in time to celebrate International Women’s day and all we have accomplished together!
